Christmas is only about two and half weeks away which means you only have just over a week left to order gifts online before you start having to pay for speedy shipping! I’m planning to knock out my last bit of shopping by the end of this week! My personal Christmas list always include a few items for the home. This coffee maker is currently one of the items on that list! I have a Keurig and love it, but sometimes I wish I could make a full pot of coffee. This coffee maker lets you make both full pots and single cups. It also makes specialty drinks like lattes and iced coffees. You also don’t have to use K-Cups for this one. The K-Cups are great and all, but not every coffee comes in one and those little cups that let you use your own are not always so fun to clean. I also really like this wood sculpture! I wish I had somewhere in my house to put it because I think it is really cool and unique looking. It’s also only $100! I thought it was going to be way more when I first saw it. One other thing I included is this Nest Candle. For the Holiday Home Tour this past weekend, I was giving a tour of one of the bedrooms. This Holiday candle was burning in the room, and so many people asked me what the scent was because they really liked the smell. During a break, I took a peek at the bottom of the candle, so I could start letting people know! The holiday shopping season is winding down. If you are still looking for some gift ideas, let me know and I will incorporate them into an upcoming gift guide! Don’t forget I have a few pages dedicated to Christmas Gift Ideas too!

My Black Friday and Cyber Monday purchases officially started rolling in last week! One of my favorite things about online shopping, other than I can do it in my pajamas, is when the packages start to arrive! Even though I know what is in them, it is still exciting to rip open the box and check out the goods! I actually first saw this sweater while shopping at Nordstrom a few weeks prior to Black Friday. I really liked it, but it came in 3 colors and I couldn’t decide which one I wanted to buy. I decided to hold off until I could decide on a color. Fast forward a few weeks later, and I found this sweater included in their Black Friday markdowns!! Bonus, this sweater is STILL marked down to $20!! This sweater is on the thinner side which is often what I look for in sweaters. I mean it’s December and we are finally in the fall season down here in Texas, so I buy the majority of my sweaters on the thinner side. I decided on the teal shade because it’s a color I don’t own too much of yet, but I love this color! The other two colors are burgundy which I’m obsessed with and black also one of my color crushes. Also, just a sizing note. I typically wear a medium in this brand, but ordered in a small after reading reviews. The small fits perfect so I’m happy I chose to go down a size! Also, my boots are on sale again! The second link and wide-calf version needs promo code FRIEND which is good for almost everything on the site not just the boots, but the first link is a price match so no code required. I put both in case you are interested and your size is out at one store. Thanks for starting out your week by stopping by the blog! I hope the rest of year week is AMAZING!

When I head to Christmas parties, I sometimes like to plan an outfit with a holiday color theme. I love red, white, and gold together in an outfit. Adding a blazer to an outfit can really help set the tone or overall feel for your look. I have a cute fitted black blazer that I wear sometimes, but on occasion it kind of reminds of work or a suit. I love the trend of white or colored blazers. You can toss this white blazer over a fancy dress to help give it a more casual vibe, or pair it with a jeans look to help dress it up a bit. When I chose this blazer, I liked it for it’s open no button look. I think it lends a trendy laid back feel to it. The lace details at the neckline of this red blouse were a big selling point for me. I tend to pair this top with cardigans or blazers because I like how the lace peeks through from under the blazer. This top is a few years old and I couldn’t find anything identical, but I linked some sort of similar options for you.
My holiday festivities officially kick off tonight! My bestie’s house is part of the Holiday Home Tour in the Heights of Houston. As part of my best friend duties, I volunteered to help out tonight give tours of her house. I have seen a couple pics of some of the holiday decor she has up, but I haven’t seen it all yet. She loves her holiday decor as much as me, so I know the whole house will be fabulous. I will share a few pics over on Snapchat (ladyinviolet) if you want a peek at her decorations! Thanks for swinging by the blog this week and have a great weekend!

The holiday season is here which means time to start looking for that perfect dress for your holiday party or New Year’s Eve party! I love getting all dolled up in a fancy dress with lace or sequins. What I don’t like is spending several hundred dollars for a dress that I can only wear once a year. I use to be able to wear the same dress to multiple events, so spending $200-300 wasn’t so bad. But thanks to social media, everyone sees what you wear to everything. No more wearing one dress to all your holiday parties. Luckily, I found some really cute dress options for under $100! Whether you are looking for lace or sequins, or just something simple and sophisticed, I have you covered in the Buy Me section of this post. Some of these dresses also come in multiple color options too!
The second part of this post is the rent me section. If you love wearing expensive dresses but hate the price tag, Rent the Runway may just become your new best friend. I LOVE this site!!! I have rented several dresses from this site for birthday parties, weddings, and holiday parties. I love getting to wear designer labels for a fraction of the cost. Plus, I don’t have to worry about the fact that it is all over social media and I can’t wear it again, ever! If you have never used this site before, you can score 20% off your first rental. All 4 of these are in the $35-100 rental price range. The rental price varies by designer and retail value of the dress. I start my search for the perfect dress by entering the day I need the rental, desired rental price range, and selecting my size. I then peruse the available dresses until I find the one. They not only send you the dress in the size you select, but a second size of the same dress just in case! I always use this option, and it has come in handy once for a low cut sequin dress I ordered for my birthday a few years ago. On top of that, you can rent a second dress for a reduced price. They really want to make sure that if you rent a dress from them that you are satisfied and have a dress you love for your special occasion I usually select for the dress to arrive the day before I need it and do the 4 day rental. If you are interested in using this service for New Year’s Eve, I recommend renting a dress soon! Dresses go fast for that holiday and options and sizes will quickly become unavailable. Happy Shopping!!
