Zebra Print Summer Sweater

Yep you read that right, a summer sweater in the Texas heat! This zebra print summer sweater is lightweight and breathable, so it does work with warmer weather. As someone who is always cold, I love summer sweaters for indoor events. They will keep me a little warmer indoors where the a/c is blasting, but I can easily go sit outside and be comfortable.
The tan color of this print gives it such a chic and dressed up feel. It pairs perfectly with white shorts or jeans for a sophisticated and polished look. You can change out your shoes to work with different occasions like flat sandals for more casual or nude colored block heel sandals for a dressier look. This top will also transition well into fall by changing out the white jeans for dark wash flared jeans and heels or skinny jeans with booties.
Stay tuned next week, I have one more week of summer outfits for you before we start transitioning into fall. We will be talking all about shorts next week to get you through this final month of summer which is always the hottest here in Houston. After that, I will be sharing how I’m transitioning some of my summer pieces to fall and of course all things Nordstrom Anniversary Sale which starts next week for the top 2 Nordy Club tiers.

White Floral Blouse

Hello Hello! How was your weekend? Mine started off nice and relaxing and ended filled with family and lots of yummy food. I’m pretty sure I’m still in a sugar coma from all the yummy Easter desserts I ate yesterday. My grandma always puts out a good dessert spread, and of course I have to have a little of everything.
An all white look is such a classic and sophisticated outfit for Spring. It can easily look dressy or casual depending on how you style it. This white floral top is the perfect way to create an all white look while still having small hints of color. The light blue and yellow floral details have a beautiful feminine look that just pairs perfectly with white denim.
You can also pair this top with a pair of cuffed dark wash jeans and wedges for a more casual look. I love how the jean color really pulls out different colors. When I wear this with blue jeans, you really see the blues in this top a little more. My yellow tassel statement earrings added a fun vibrant color to this more neutral look. The bright yellow helps to pull out the yellow floral details in the top too.
I’m so excited to introduce ya’ll to my new spring and summer purse. I’ve been loving all the straw circle bags, so I decided I needed one this year. Mine is a good affordable option, and it actually holds quite a bit. I put my mini wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, and a lipstick in it over the weekend. You do have to position everything just right to get it to close, and sometimes adjust the fabric lining on the inside from sneaking out the side. I’ve been carrying this bag for a few weeks and just can’t get enough of it. It works with everything from date night looks to casual day looks.
I hope you all have a fabulous start to your week! Thanks for stopping by!

Pleated Midi Skirt + Denim Jacket

Happy Friday!! I’m bringing you the prettiest pleated midi skirt for spring today. I’m so in love with the colors of this skirt. The teal and light pink work really well together and the black and white add great contrast. I am so happy we were able to catch the movement of this skirt because it only gets prettier when you walk.
While this midi skirt is perfect for work, I wanted to share how I would style it for a more casual outfit. I paired it with a few spring basics my favorite black tank top and denim jacket. Both pieces help dress the look down a little. On a warmer day, you could go sans the jacket and just do the tank top.
I went with my black block heel sandals because I felt they worked with my petite height and the length of the skirt. Add in a few rose gold jewelry pieces and this look is complete. To make your jacket work for a spring look, roll up the sleeves to 3/4 length. I usually keep mine rolled like this all spring, occasionally unrolling on cool evenings.
I’m so excited for this weekend. I am headed to an all girl slumber party at a girlfriends’ new house. We have a dinner planned at one of her city’s hot new restaurants and then all the girl talk. I hope ya’ll have a fabulous weekend!

Casual Floral Top for Spring

Happy Friday!!! Ahhh so ready for this weekend, even though large portions of it will be filled with working on taxes, boo! It’s still the weekend though, and I can work on it with a glass of wine in hand. Yesterday, we had the prettiest Spring weather ya’ll! We have a little cold front coming through this weekend, but that little taste yesterday means I am pulling out all my wedges this weekend when I need a break from taxes.
One print I’m seeing tons of this Spring season is florals. Always a popular print for Spring, and I love seeing the different color variations and designs of the prints. I feel like this season has a delicate, feminine feel to the prints. This casual floral top is a good example of this floral print style. It’s a print you can dress up or down depending on your mood and plans for the day.
With this floral top, I styled it with jeans and my go to peep toe booties for a casual weekend look. You can also pair this with slacks or a pencil skirt to make it work for the office. Speaking of these booties, they are currently marked down! In the product description, it doesn’t mention anything about being on sale. But I went and looked back and I definitely paid $40 more than the current price. These booties are so good for Spring, Summer, and Fall. I wear them with jeans, skirts, and dresses.
Alright ya’ll, I hope you fabulous weekend!
