Gray Button Front Suede Skirt

Happy Friday!! Ya’ll I’m obsessed with this outfit! For starters, the sweater, skirt, and boots combo is one of my favorites this time of year. I have shared similar combos a few times already on the blog HERE and HERE, and I don’t see me slowing down on this one anytime soon! I’m quite in love with this gray button front suede skirt. The color is gorgeous and the pleated fit and flare design is so fun. I also LOVE this color combo. Dark purple and gray are so pretty together, and the pop of dark teal just compliments the whole look.
This lightweight sweater is designed like a thermal knit top. It’s super comfy and comes in a bunch of different colors. I could not resist this dark purple shade. It’s perfect for tucking into skirts, but also looks cute in a more casual jeans look. It’s also 50% off until noon today with free shipping.
Can you believe we are just a few short weeks away from Christmas and a New Year? I wrapped up all my holiday shopping this week, and it feels so good to have it all done. Now all that is left is wrapping gifts. By the way, I shared a cute way I wrap my Christmas gifts earlier this week. You can check it out HERE if you need a new idea. I have a couple holiday parties this weekend including a big family party that I look forward to every year. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Light Purple Blazer + Gray Denim

Happy December!!! Ya’ll I had the most productive weekend ever. I crossed so many items off my to do list, and it feels so good to be starting such a busy month ahead of the game. Here is hoping I can keep up the momentum and keep tackling my to do list, so when the holiday parties start I will be free and clear.
Speaking of holiday parties, I think today’s look would be perfect for a casual Christmas party, especially if you are looking to go sans the red and green. I’m obsessed with the loose long open front blazers. This light purple blazer is also the perfect color to carry you right through spring. It’s such an easy way to create a dressy casual look for a party or date night. To make this a little more festive, I added my silver metallic mule heels which will be making lots of appearances this holiday season.
I love this lavender color with gray and added in black cami to complete this look. You could also add in a sequin top or graphic tee too. To add an effortless chicness to your blazer look, try pushing up the sleeves. I think it something super simple that adds a little something extra to the overall look. The light purple shade of this blazer is currently 50% off (yay!), but I also linked the other colors too for you. It includes red if you want to be more festive, but they are not on sale. (boo)
I have lots of fun content headed to the blog this week including another gift guide, a holiday home tour, and the prettiest work look. Stay tuned to the blog for all the fun coming at you this week!

Casual Holiday Party Outfit

Ready to start planning those holiday outfits? I have lots of outfit inspiration coming to you for Thanksgiving and Christmas over the next few weeks. For the holidays, I try to put outfits together that can also be worn or restyled for everyday wear. Originally, I picked out this top as a cute date night top. I love it paired with jeans for a dressy casual outfit, perfect for a casual Friday night out with that special someone or a group of your favorite ladies. You can pair it with a skirt to dress it up and wear to a nicer event. I think it would look like perfection with a black leather pencil skirt. You can easily pair this top with any color, but I couldn’t resist pairing it with my new metallic red heels and red statement earrings. It’s an easy way to transform a date night look into a casual holiday party outfit.
Well friends, freezing temps are finally hitting Houston. Well almost freezing at least. I am so not the biggest cold weather fan, and I’ve already given in and turned on my heater. I am excited to pull out a few sweaters and my boots again though. I enjoy the cold weather for a few fashion filled days, and then I’m over it. Luckily in Houston, the weather this time of year is all over the place. It’ll probably shorts and sandals weather here soon. 😉 I hope ya’ll have a great week, and be sure to check back later this week for the start of my Holiday Gift Guides!

Fall Trends: Metallic Heels + NORDSTROM GIVEAWAY

Hello friends! I am so excited to share this outfit with ya’ll today! I’m so obsessed with metallic heels, and these silver mules are an absolute shoe lover’s dream. This is my second pair of silver metallic heels. The first pair was from a super affordable pair from DSW to allow me to try the trend out. I loved them, but they had a low kitten heel which is not always my thing as you probably have realized over the years.
I picked up these metallic silver mules a few months ago during the Shopbop friends and family sale, so it brought the price down a little bit. This brand is one of my favorites for stylish, comfy, and quality. I own about 3 or 4 pairs from them, and all of them hold up to a night on your feet. I love a mule style heel too. They can be a little difficult to balance in with such a high heel at first, but with time you will adjust. The silver is like a crackled metallic. It is GORGEOUS in person.
When you think metallic heels, I feel a super dressy look immediately comes to mind. I decided to show you a little more casual way to wear this fall trend with my favorite gray jeans and this beautiful floral print top (which FYI is on sale!) All the grays play together so well in this outfit. I think it really pulls the pink and gray out of the top. The metallic heels are a great way to add a little something extra to your casual looks this fall and winter. I love this outfit for brunch or even as a Thankgiving outfit.
What do you think about metallic heels? Love them or not so much?
Also, if you are looking to kickstart your Christmas shopping or start stocking up on holiday outfits and cute sweaters, I have a fabulous $1000 Nordstrom Giveaway for you at the bottom of today’s post. Be sure to enter and Good Luck!!
