I wore a lot of color on the blog this week, so I figured today I would go back to my old favorite – all black! I love the lace detailing on this top and how the entire shoulder is exposed under the black lace. Dark colors like black are not seen too much in spring. The lace and exposed skin is a great way to wear a dark color in spring without it being too heavy. This top is from last year, but I linked two similar tops from Ella Moss. I love pairing gold jewelry with an all-black look. It has a sophisticated feel to it, and the gold both stands out from and compliments the black. Because of the lace detailing around the neckline, I chose to wear my Mika necklace. I did not want a necklace that would lie on top of the lace, because sometimes those can snag the lace. The Mika necklace was the perfect length to sit just above the neckline of the shirt. Since I kept my necklace simple, I definitely wanted a slightly bold earring. I love these Gorjana earrings I received in my latest Rocksbox. They have kind of a dual use to them. They double as a statement piece as styled here by showcasing them against a dark palate, but they are also delicate enough to allow the top to have a little bit of the statement too. Happy Friday Ya’ll!! I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend and thanks so much for stopping by my blog this week!

I usually hate when there is any sort of breeze or wind while my sister and I are taking blog photos because my hair usually ends up in my face for a good half of the shots. On this day though, the light breeze was perfect to showcase just how fabulous this skirt moves! I have to give major props to my sister for perfectly catching it moving in the breeze. These pictures show just how gorgeous this skirt looks when you move and walk in it. I have found my favorite way to wear this skirt is with a t-shirt. I love that its is fancy on the bottom and casual on top. Pairing it with a tee is also a great way to wear this skirt to a baby shower or brunch without looking too overdressed. Midi skirts are in every store right now! I think they are complimentary style on an array of body types which means they might be around for awhile. Despite that the length of a midi skirt is different on everyone based on height, the skirt never seems to be at an unflattering length. I am a petite 5’3 and one of my besties is about 6 inches taller than me. We were both talking the other day about our love for the midi skirt length. It’s a professional length for work, but you can still wear it on the weekends too.
I have to give a special thanks to Lauren of Style Elixir for naming me Head Stylist on her blog yesterday! Check out my Q&A with her here! You may just learn something new about me! Thanks for stopping by!!

1. KEURIG K45 Elite Single Serve Brewer | 2. DOGEARED Mom Pendant Necklace | 3. KENDRA SCOTT Alex Drop Earrings | 4. TERVIS Mommy’s Sippy Cup Wine Goblet Tumbler | 5. PHILOSOPHY I Think You Are Wonderful Gift Set | 6. ELLIE KRIEGER Food You Crave Recipe Book
Do you know what this weekend is?? MOTHER’S DAY! That also means you only have a few days left to find the perfect Mother’s Day gift! I have compiled some really fun gifts for an array of different moms. For the new mom, the Tervis Mommy’s Sippy Cup. I know a couple new mom friends who love this thing! Does your mom love to cook? I added my favorite cookbook to the list. Ellie Krieger is my go-to for healthy recipes. This book is all about taking your favorite comfort foods and making them healthier! I have made so many recipes from this book, so I can say with confidence that they are delicious! If you are looking to treat your mom with a little pampering, then the philosophy gift set may be the perfect choice. This set features a shampoo, bubble bath, and lotion, plus the cute little gift box with the perfect message for mom. I have also linked these fun Kendra Scott earrings which I have had my eye on for a few months. I just can’t decide what color I want. All of Kendra’s jewelry comes in tons of colors, so you can pick up a pair in your mom’s favorite color! I really like this necklace from Dogeared because it is a gift and a card in one! The packaging has a cute little saying on it just for Mom. I am a coffee addict so I think a Keurig is always a good gift idea. I think this might also be good for those new moms who may not be getting as much sleep as they used to. Best part of this guide – all these gifts can be picked up at an actual store from Nordstrom to Bed, Bath and Beyond to your local bookstore. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! AND an extra special Happy Mother’s Day to my mom!!

I did it! I wore my white denim out of the house! We celebrated my dad’s birthday yesterday, and I decided that was the perfect event for their debut. I mean family is kind of forced to put up with my crazy and irrational fears of wearing white denim, right?!? I have good news to report, I did not sit in or spill anything on my jeans! Yep made it through the whole event STAIN FREE! A definite first time out success!
My outfit today is probably one of the looks I was most excited about for my new white denim. I think bright colors look so much more bright and vibrant with white pants. Don’t believe me, check out the last time I wore this top on the blog in the Restyled and Remixed section at the end of this post! The top just looks more colorful to me. I feel like white denim provides a blank canvas that is perfect for a splash of color. I love my dark colored jeans, but I am really loving how crisp and clean the white denim looks. I definitely think they are better fit than the dark jeans for spring and summer daytime events! I have some brunches and family parties coming up, and an outfit like this one is going to be perfect! I was so happy to hear that I was not the only one who fears wearing white pants. I have enjoyed styling my white denim, so I am considering these spotless white jeans from Joe’s Jeans. They claim to be stain resistant! Has anyone tried them? Are they really stain resistant and worth the price tag?
