I’m pretty sure every fashion blogger bought this fall tunic and with good reason! It is the perfect fall piece that you can start wearing now!! Sunday is the last day to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so if you have been contemplating any purchases time is almost up. Check out my posts HERE and HERE if you need some help navigating the sale. I have been debating whether or not to buy this top in white too. This olive color is definitely my favorite of all the color options. I love that I can pair it with skinny white denim and cognac wedges now, and then leggings and brown or black boots in the fall. The shirt is lightweight and easy to move around in. This top is going to be so perfect to layer which is why I kind of also want the white. I think you can never have too many white layering tops. You can also tuck the front of this top in to wear with shorts, but the back will probably hang past your shorts. It will change up the look a little and with shorts you can definitely start wearing now!
If you haven’t heard Kendra Scott released a new collection a couple weeks ago. I previewed the collection at the Southern Blog Society Conference, and have been patiently waiting for it to go on sell so I could snag these pink earrings. The shape of the earring is new for Kendra Scott and has Dubai influences. I love this pink color because in the sun it shines hot pink, but with my dark hair the color darkens a bit when I go inside. I love the hot pink and olive together! A summer earring and fall top creating that perfect season transitioning look!
Lady in Violet is undergoing a little makeover this weekend, so if you visit over the weekend and things look off that is why. Hopefully, everything will go smooth and I will have a fun new design for you to checkout on Monday. I’m so excited for the new look and can not wait to share with you all!! The overall layout isn’t really changing, this is just more of a cosmetic upgrade. If you are impatient like me, you can swing by over the weekend and see the changes in progress. Happy Friday and have a great weekend!!
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale ends Sunday, so this is your last weekend to save on some awesome fall wardrobe pieces before the prices go up on Monday. This sale is massive, so I wanted to share a few more fun finds from the sale to help you find the best deals, hottest items, and the most versatile pieces.

I figured this time I would break it up a little instead of one giant paragraph like last time. For shoes, these Tory Burch boots are a steal!! Yes, they are still super expensive, but they are almost $180 off! The only time I ever really see these on sale are the Nordstrom sale and end of season sales. Downside to waiting until end of season on these, most sizes are sold out! Another hot shoe item again this year is a light brown or taupe bootie. These work great with dresses and paired with jeans. This pair is currently under $100! If you want a versatile shoe, a black peep toe pump is exactly what you need. They look great with pants and all types of skirts. This pair is currently $55 off!
The best deal in jackets is pretty much any of the leather jackets. Make sure to read the descriptions because some are not full leather. The one I linked has suede on the collar which I think makes it a little different. Prices for leather jackets will still be about the same after winter as in this sale, so you may not save too much by waiting. This jacket also comes in black. Capes are back this season! I like a cape that has more of a jacket fit with a cape look. This one does just that and is under $100! If you are looking for a versatile piece you can wear for years, look no further than a double-breasted trench coat. You can wear this over your work clothes or over jeans and a sweater. This jacket has been in style for years and will be for many more to come!
Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dresses are iconic, and this gem is $130 off!! Luxury and designer brands are a great deal in a sale like this. The price tag is still high, but the discount is much deeper than the less expensive options. This striped sweater dress from Topshop could be both a hot item and versatile. Stripes are only growing in popularity. This dress can be worn with flats or boots, and can be layered with jackets. If you are looking for a verstatile work dress invest in a fit and flare dress. This one comes in both blue and black. A dress like this can easily go from work to happy hour, and work for events like weddings, date nights, or the theater.
Cashmere on sale!! I mean much like with luxury brands, luxury fabrics are another high ticket item that can be a steal in a sale. I love the dark teal color of this one. It will work with both brown and black. Tunics are a hot item this season! Boots and leggings will be seen everywhere this fall and winter, so a few tunics in your closet are a must! Again, I’m loving this color!! I love the versatility in this cardigan. You can toss this on with a tee and jeans or over a dress. The black and white stripe also makes it work with all colors.
Leather is another luxury material that you should buy now while on sale. I love the idea of pairing this skirt with boots or heels. You can also throw an oversized sweater or tuck a button up with it. Short and pleated skirts are another hot item. Oversized sweaters and boots, fitted top with pumps, or booties and a tee and cardigan. It might be trendy, but it has lots of options. I can not get enough of this gray skirt, I’m really considering buying this one! I love wearing heeled boots with long skirts! This outfit would look great with a white button down. You can also wear heels and a leather jacket for another outfit combo.
I grew up in Texas, so when winter sets in I go into hibernation mode! Loungewear is a must for me! Robes are the perfect just out of the shower winter item. They are also great to lounge around in in the mornings while getting ready. I love long nightshirts paired with leggings. I also really love the saying on this one!! Pajama pants are another lounge must have!! Perfect to toss on with a sweater or tee or wear under your robe.
I love my Marc Jacobs bag. I have had it for several years, and it still looks good as new. This bag is marked down $140 and comes in black and beige too. The hottest purse style right now is bucket bags. Rebecca Minkoff makes this gorgeous one that also comes in brown and beige. If you need a versatile bag, my pick as a cute crossbody. Perfect to carry on weekends to go from errand running to evenings out.
I hope these little snippets help you navigate the sale a little better. You can also check out my last post HERE to see what items I already purchased from the sale and some tips to shop without breaking the bank. Happy Shopping!!

BRITNEY Concert Tee [Icona Pop Tee | Nirvana ’91 Tee | Woodstock Tee | The Rolling Stones Concert Tee] | LUCKY BRAND Distressed Jeans, Old [SIMILAR | ON SALE | SIMILAR] | TORY BURCH Leather Thong Sandal | HAPPINESS BOUTIQUE c/o Glam and Glitter Statement Necklace | KENDRA SCOTT Grady Bracelet | BAUBLEBAR Pave Links Bracelet, Old [SIMILAR] | GORJANA Chloe Stud Earrings | MAC Lipstick in Faux | ESSIE Nail Color in Fiji
I found it! The perfect statement necklace and it was under $30! I have been looking for just the right one since I received a similar one in my Rocksbox. I wanted one with a bit smaller stones than that one. I also wanted something affordable, because statement jewelry is just not going to get as much wear as my everyday pieces. During my search, I found Happiness Boutique. They have tons of fun statement jewelry at affordable prices including some really cute pendant and statement necklaces and statement earrings. I love jewelry with a vintage feel and have quite the wish list on their site! They also have fun vintage inspired clothes. Even better they offer FREE shipping with no minimum purchase price!! They also have a pretty cool Rewards Program. Most sites will offer you points per purchase, but Happiness Boutique goes one step further. They will offer you points for reviewing the jewelry you purchased on their site, sharing photos of your jewelry in action on social media with their hashtag, and sharing your purchase on social media right after you order. Once you have racked up some points, you can redeem for free jewelry and clothes, and some other fun goodies.
I love how this necklace has three different designs, but they all work beautifully together. I love wearing necklaces like this underneath button down shirts to let them shine through, but I also love to use a statement necklace to pump up a casual look. When I am going super laid back casual, I often opt for a vintage tee, distressed jeans, and sandals. I love this Britney tee I purchased at her Femme Fatale concert a few years back. I linked some other vintage style concert tees I found online. I’ve talked about my love for Lucky Brand jeans before, and this pair is one of my favorites. This is like the second or third pair I ever purchased from them. They are around 10 years old and are still in great condition!! Since they are so old, I linked some other pairs that are a similar distressed and flared look. I do not often wear a tee and jeans, so when I do I love being able to dress it up and put a little of glitz and glam into the look!
As promised, I wanted to share a few of my tourist photos from Charleston. This city is absolutely gorgeous at every turn. I loved having the opportunity to visit and take in all the beauty!
As you may recall from my post last week, I was in town for the Southern Blog Society Conference which was held at the Belmond Charleston Place off of King Street. How cute is this trolley?
This photo is of King Street from just outside the hotel. Friday night, I ate at the Old Town Grill and it was so good. I had a gyro and potatoes. Good food and good prices is always a win.
While walking along King Street, I found this cute candy store. They carried all of my favorites – Fudge, Truffles, and Taffy. They also had chocolate covered everything, caramel apples, and pralines.
Every flavor of taffy you could want! HEAVEN!!
I love the architecture of the buildings and all the colors.
Even the window displays are beautiful. If you are in Charleston, you need to go inside this Moon and Lola. The store is fabulous inside!!
I eventually ventured off King Street to tour the cute streets and alleys. I even found this fun park with some cool sculptures.
I mean this city is a fashion blogger’s dream come true. Everything here is just picture perfect.
I also found this cute store/cafe. They sold these amazing red velvet cupcakes along with muffins, lunch foods, and gourmet grocery shopping.
Every where I turned was more charm and beauty. I can see why people love to travel here. It was so easy just to walk around and get lost. The town also has lots of history. Next time, I definitely want to take a tour and learn even more about this city and it’s rich history!
