Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Dressing Room Diaries pt. 1
Happy Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Public Access Day!! The sale is officially open for everyone to shop, shop, shop! I was originally hoping to share with you all what I purchased. Since my package isn’t arriving until next week, I’m postponing that until next Friday. I did head into my local Nordstrom to check out some of the goodies in person though, so today I’m going to share a little dressing room diaries of what I found. A little side note, some items I did have to try on in not my normal size so they make look a little big.
I found quite a few good options for fall in both work and casual, so I’m breaking up my dressing room diaries post this year into 2 parts. On Monday, I will be sharing some workwear looks which includes some really cute dresses! Today, it’s all about those casual pieces from layers to tops to jeans. Enjoy and Happy Shopping!
Ok these are my favorite style of jeans from Paige. I own a few in different shades. They are worth every penny as all of mine still look new. The fit is TTS. These plaid shirts are pricey, but ya’ll so soft and comfy!!! I also really like this reddish/pink color.
thermal henley | similar jeans
Thermal henleys are so great for casual fall outfits and lounging around the house. This one comes in a few color options. It is thin and a little sheer, so you may need a cami underneath it. The jeans I linked are same brand, but with only one knee distressed. The ones I tried on weren’t online. I love this brand because they are super comfy and good quality. Fit is TTS.

The color of this top immediately grabbed my attention. It’s such a fun and bright color for fall. It is a boxy, oversized fit, so I would consider sizing down. These black jeans are super comfy, but do run small. I sized up in them.
leather jacket | similar distressed jeans
I decided to try the trendy leather jacket and graphic tee combo out, and I kind of like it. The cropped tee wasn’t available online, but here are some similar ones. The jacket was a comfy TTS fit. I like the edgy look of it, but I wasn’t a fan of the belt along the bottom when it’s open.

Give me all the cocoon cardigans please!! This one size fits all piece is perfect for layering with jeans or over a dress.
Ok, I tried this top on in a Small and I def needed my normal XS size. Other than that, I loved the thick, comfy material, and I always love a stripe. It comes in a few other colors too. I usually don’t like boyfriend jeans, but I thought these had a flattering fit and weren’t too baggy. The fit was TTS.
striped cardigan | black raw hem jeans
This striped cardigan is the perfect piece to layer over tanks or dresses for the office. You can button it up or leave it unbuttoned for a different look.
The lighting does not do this top it’s fair justice. It’s super cute and a really pretty shade of pink. I like it paired with black for fall and all the jewel tones like burgundy, navy, and emerald green.

I’m carrying my yellow obsession right on in to fall! I’m wearing a 4 in this blazer, and I could probably use a size smaller. This blazer is perfect for office looks and casual weekend looks paired with jeans and a tee. Ok I really wanted to try this jeans brand because I’ve heard good things about them and they are a great price. They had none in my size, so I tried on a size up just to see quality. Overall, I thought they were comfy and seemed to be good quality. I ordered a different pair from this brand in my size, so I’ll let you know how it goes.

Black Halter Top
Hello Hello! Well most of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items have shipped, so hopefully next week I will be able to share a little try on session with ya’ll to showcase what I bought. So far, I only had one item canceled, a pair of flared leg jeans from Frame Denim. I’m hoping I can find them back in stock by the end of sale. I picked up my first pair from this brand last year and love them!!
So let’s take a little sale break, and talk about this super chic date night or girls’ night out outfit idea. I love an all black look for a chic and sophisticated vibe. Halter tops are one of my favorite top styles for summer. I love how they show off your shoulders. This one has a nice loose and comfy fit. One other thing I like about this top is that it zips up the back. Many halters are tie tops, and I really prefer the zipper option.
It’s also a good length to pair with skinny jeans or to tuck into a pair of cotton shorts. Depending on your work dress code, you could also tuck it into a pencil skirt for the office. It comes in a few colors, but I couldn’t resist the black. The chic look of the top made me want to create a full chic outfit. I went with a head to toe all black theme, but added in one pop of color with my earrings to break it up a little and a little bit of eye catching color to the look.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Best of Boots & Booties
Hello Hello! So has anyone shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? I made a few orders, but nothing has shipped yet… I have heard from others about orders being cancelled, so fingers crossed that doesn’t happen to any of us! Overall, I have been pretty happy with my purchase picks so far. I added some new shoes, jeans, cardigans, and a few beauty products. I’ll share more details in a future post once everything arrives!
One section I haven’t purchased from yet is the boots and booties. I do want to get a pair of each, but I decided to try these on in store. My top picks are 5 and 12, and I want to see the color of them in person to be sure it’s what I want. I think the selection of boots and booties in the sale is pretty decent. It includes many basic staple shoes in those staple colors while also mixing in a few trendy prints like python and leopard. For my best boots and booties of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks, I opted to showcase the pairs that have a more timeless look that you can wear for a few years to come. Many of them also have a trendy print or color option too.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Repeat Favorites
Hello Hello and Happy Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access Day!! For some of you, Early Access may have started yesterday depending on your card status. I’m taking a different approach to how I share my Nordstrom Sale Favorites with you this year. I hope you find it useful and more helpful when shopping the sale.
For my first official sale post, I wanted to spotlight some of my favorite purchases from last year that are included in the sale again this year. You will notice it’s lots of those basic items that you can wear over and over again. One of my sale shopping goals this year is to stock up on basics that can restyled throughout the season vs the trendier items. Through my years of shopping the sale, I have found that these are really the best items to go for in the sale.
Basics for me include boots and booties, cardigans, layering tops, and jeans. I also like to pick up cozy loungewear, leggings, workout clothes, and underwear during the sale. These are all items I prefer to buy while they are on sale because this is usually the only time they go on sale in basic color options.

LEATHER LEGGINGS – I passed on these last year and regretted it! On my wishlist for this year. Super comfy and stretchy!
