If you missed my Monday post, I’m sharing some Thanksgiving outfit inspiration with you this week! Monday was all about a relaxed casual look perfect for lounging and helping prepare the big meal. Today is more of a dressed up casual look. Holidays always bring friends back in town, and this look would be perfect to grab a glass of wine or dinner with old friends. I kept the outfit casual with this windowpane plaid from Express. By the way, Express is having a BOGO sale that ends today!! I added some of my favorite pieces in a widget below!! They have some really cute plaids out right now, but I was drawn to the color on this one. I love the dark pink/magenta color with the white lines. I also like that I can pair it with a pencil skirt for a comfy office look. These shoes are on constant repeat right now, and the perfect addition to this dressy casual look. I also layered up my necklaces and bracelets to glam my outfit up a bit. This top looks great with a big statement necklace (like in this insta pic), but I chose some of my more basic pieces to make sure the beauty of the top shined. A dressed up casual look is one of my favorite styles! I like that you could still wear this look and help out on Thanksgiving by kicking off your shoes and setting a couple bracelets to the side if necessary. When ever I put skinny black jeans on with peep toe pumps, I always have that moment wear I kind of feel like Sandra D from Grease. 🙂 I’m pretty sure my love for an all black outfit stems from watching that movie like a millions times. Whenever I don’t know what to wear, I almost always fall back on a classic black look. I think it is perfect for just about any occasion. I would wear this to happy hour, date night, girls night out, family dinner, a networking event, casual Friday at work. I actually could name some more, but you catch my drift. When doing an all black look, I like to find ways to bring in a little color with my accessories. Sometimes I might go with a neutral purse and opt for some fun colorful shoes like these! For this look, I loved the way my nude pump paired with it (remember that Sandra D moment), so I decided to go with a pop of color in my bag. By the way, my purse is currently on clearance for $90 off!!! Since my purse is such a showstopper, I kept my jewelry neutral but still a little bit statement in itself. I really like how the blue stones in my earrings partner with both the green of the purse and the white of my necklace to really connect all the different colors. As promised last week, another look at these beautiful burgundy shoes with jeans. These are definitely a statement pair of shoes, so I kept the rest of my look black and white to let the shoes shine! So a little tip on skinny jeans, I cuff mine on the inside to create the always perfect length hem. I do have them altered so they are a good length with most heels, but since the strap on these is higher on the ankle I wanted them a little bit shorter. When I wear these shoes with a more casual look, I might roll the cuff to the outside. My favorite kind of look is dressed up casual. These shoes help me hit that style so easily. They are the perfect dressy heel that works perfect with skirts and dresses, but the color and suede material as well as the strap lines are perfect for fancying up a jeans and tee look. I went with my Foxcroft top because I love how it also has a dressy casual feel to it. I love using my jewelry to play off the geometric shapes on the shirt. I paired my Aldridge earrings and Mika necklace with this look because they had the same triangle shapes as my shirt design.

I had fun styling this poncho for summer, but I am so ready to start wearing this thing in the fall and winter! When I originally purchased this poncho in the #NSale a couple months ago, this outfit was almost exactly what I had in mind. I actually pictured it with my tall black riding boots, but it’s still a teeny bit to warm for those beauties. I typically roll my jeans when I wear booties, but I decided to try tucking this pair into them. This pair has a more legging fit and is tight at the ankle, so it fits well inside the bootie without looking to bulky around the ankle. These shoes are a few years old and while looking for similar pairs, I stumbled upon the two gorgeous pairs linked by Nine West. They are not really similar, but I love the design of them. They have cool cutouts on them and are just beautiful so the shoe lover in me had to share them!! Ponchos are a great layering piece to have around for fall and winter. They have a blanket look to them, and are perfect paired with a casual tee. I also love this one with a black long sleeved tee. If you want to be comfy and warm while still looking chic, then a poncho is perfect addition to your look. I’m someone who is always cold, and I love being able to wrap up in my blanket poncho when I am cold. This week seemed to go by so slow! One of those weeks where you think it’s Thursday, but it’s really only Tuesday. My days have been like that all week, and I am so ready for this weekend!! Thanks for stopping by the blog this week!
