Styled 3 Ways: Little Black Dress

Happy Friday!!! I’m so excited for today’s post ya’ll!! So way back in my first year of blogging, I did a styled 3 ways post with a striped dress. I loved the idea of sharing different ways to wear the same thing in one easy post for you. It’s an idea that I’ve been wanting to bring back for probably about a year now. Well I finally decided to just sit down and do it already!
I’m planning on making this a monthly series and to have the main item be a mix of closet basics and trendy pieces. If you would love to see a specific item featured, leave it for me in the comments!
Let’s talk about today’s styling of a black dress multiple ways. I think everyone needs a little black dress in their closet. I own a shift dress, fit and flare, and this fitted body-con dress. I would style all 3 designs similarly to the way I styled this fitted dress.
This dress is hands down one of my favorites! I own it in 2 colors in sleeveless and 1 color in long sleeve. It’s currently marked down 20% in multiple colors including black.

Black Dress (20% off) | Leopard Flats | Pink Clutch | c/o Earrings | Bracelet
This first look would be perfect for date night! I know many of you love flats, so I paired it with my leopard flats for you. You could also add a fun pop of color heel too. I added in my color with my purse and statement earrings. A long gold pendant necklace is a great way to dress up the crew neck dress a little.

Black Dress | Wedge Sandals | Similar Denim Jacket | Circle Bag | Necklace | c/o Earrings
Next up, a casual outfit that would be perfect for grabbing lunch with friends. I love a black outfit paired with a brown shoe. It’s taken awhile for me to embrace the black/brown combo, but I’m totally loving it now. A denim jacket is a major closet staple and an easy way to change up a look and make a dress look more casual.
I again added a long pendant necklace and some fun rose gold statement earrings. For a casual bag option, I went with my new straw circle bag. I obsessed with this cute little bag, so be prepared to see it lots this spring and summer!
Black Dress | Cardigan | Sandals | c/o Necklace | c/o Earrings | Bracelet
This last look is perfect for a day of running errands. You could also slip on a neutral flat or heel for the office. I tossed on my beige cardigan to create a laid back look with the sandals, and I kept my jewelry pretty simple with a short gold necklace and small colored earring.
Which outfit is your favorite? 1, 2, or 3? And for a bonus 4th way to wear this dress, this post is how I originally styled this dress on the blog.

Layered Outfit for Spring

Hello Hello! How was your weekend? I went to a Luau themed party with my sorority Alum group and had so much fun! Other than that, I spent most of the weekend doing blog work, laundry, and watching Netflix/reading. I’m big on watching documentaries, so I watched the Amanda Knox one on Netflix. It was interesting to hear all sides of the story from Amanda to law enforcement to the journalists covering the case. If you have any Netflix recommendations, drop me a comment below! I’m always looking for something new to watch.
Now let’s talk about this outfit. It’s probably one of my go to ensembles and one I have featured here on the blog in a variety of different ways. It’s a reminder of what a good solid base for your closet can help you create. It includes mainly closet staples like a white tank top, cardigan, distressed jeans, booties, and a long pendant necklace. All are items that can be mixed with other pieces or combined together to create the perfect layered outfit for Spring. FYI on this cardigan, size down! I’m wearing an XXS.
I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!

Something about Spring makes me crave all the striped things! Even though it’s a print I wear year round, I really crave it during the spring season. It might have something to do with all the pretty striped print items that come out during the spring. Plus, it mixes well with all my spring floral prints. While I do tend to gravitate towards the black and white stripes, I also love a good colorful stripe this time of year and for summer.
I rounded up some of my favorite stripes I have found in both a more neutral black or gray and all the fabulous colors. I think this blue maxi dress might take the position as my favorite item in the entire round up. I included a few basic items to like this tank top and slip on sneaker that can be used to mix and match with a wide array of outfits and layers. I’m kind of thinking it might be fun to mix vertical and horizontal stripes together. When i placed the pants and jacket next to each other in the graphic, I couldn’t help but think how cute they would look together.
Are you a stripes gal? Do you prefer the neutral colors or a more colorful palette for your stripes?

Easter Dress under $100

Did ya’ll catch Monday’s March favorites recap? Something tells me, I may be seeing this dress top the April list. If you are in need of an affordable Easter dress or luncheon, shower dress, I have you covered with this one. This Easter dress option comes in at only $59! A few of my favorite things about this dress, the open lace design on the chest and arms. It’s such a pretty, feminine detail. The floral print stamped into the white lace design gives me all the Spring feels! These two details make this gorgeous white lace dress be it’s own statement maker.
I opted to keep most of my accessories neutral with a nude colored clutch and taupe block heels sandals. I did add in a pair of blush pink statement earrings to help pull out the flower details on the dress. I remember as a kid, we would get to pick out an extra special dress for Easter Sunday. Nowadays, I usually just grab one of my spring work dresses. I love the idea of going back to that extra special theme, especially when I can find such a beautiful Easter dress under $100!
What is your Easter Sunday style? Fancy, Casual, or somewhere in the middle?
