March Reader Favorites

Happy April!! Ya’ll I had so much fun with my girlfriends’ this weekend! We surprised our friend that we were visiting with a mini birthday party, complete with balloons, cake, and party hats. We also learned that if you decide to wear your cute party hats to dinner, everyone who works at the restaurant will stop to chat. It was so fun! We ended the night with an old fashioned slumber party and an 80s movie. Definitely a weekend that I hope we repeat again!
Since ya’ll liked last month’s reader favorites post, I decided to make it a regular thing. Your March favorites included a repeat from February, and all items to show that we are very ready for Spring!! Which item was your favorite?
A reminder on how I figure out which items ya’ll loved –
I use an affiliate program called Rewardstyle. If you click on a link from my blog or social media that takes you to a product page on a retailer’s site, Rewardstyle is able to track that your visit to that site originated from me. The Rewardstyle affiliate program pays me a commission per purchase made. Basically, if you click on one of my links and end up making a purchase, I earn a small commission.
Because I use this service I also have access to certain data analytics. This means I can see and keep track of which items are clicked on and which lead to a purchase. I do not see who clicked on the link or what items might have been purchased. For example, if you click on my latest pair of heels and then purchase a new red lipstick too, I will only be able to see that a purchase was made and that the heels link is how you arrived to the retailer’s site. It’s kind of similar to how a salesperson may earn commission in the store.
I’m a numbers gal, so I love diving into all the data every month. These analytics allow me to keep track of what ya’ll loved and didn’t so much love. If I see one item is clicked on and/or purchased more, I might consider sharing a restyle over on Instagram. These commissions are an easy way for you to support my blog without having to do anything extra and a way for me to cover the variety of expenses that come with running a blog. So if you have ever made a purchase through one of my links know that I am so grateful for you and your support of my blog.

Pleated Midi Skirt + Denim Jacket

Happy Friday!! I’m bringing you the prettiest pleated midi skirt for spring today. I’m so in love with the colors of this skirt. The teal and light pink work really well together and the black and white add great contrast. I am so happy we were able to catch the movement of this skirt because it only gets prettier when you walk.
While this midi skirt is perfect for work, I wanted to share how I would style it for a more casual outfit. I paired it with a few spring basics my favorite black tank top and denim jacket. Both pieces help dress the look down a little. On a warmer day, you could go sans the jacket and just do the tank top.
I went with my black block heel sandals because I felt they worked with my petite height and the length of the skirt. Add in a few rose gold jewelry pieces and this look is complete. To make your jacket work for a spring look, roll up the sleeves to 3/4 length. I usually keep mine rolled like this all spring, occasionally unrolling on cool evenings.
I’m so excited for this weekend. I am headed to an all girl slumber party at a girlfriends’ new house. We have a dinner planned at one of her city’s hot new restaurants and then all the girl talk. I hope ya’ll have a fabulous weekend!

Floral Midi Skirt for the First Day of Spring

Happy First Day of Spring!!! I can not imagine a more perfect skirt to ring in the spring season. It’s one of my favorite print mixes in one. I love everything about this skirt from the flared style, the midi length, the thick stripes, the floral print, and oh the gorgeous colors. I am a fan of many things on the Chicwish site, but oh do they have some fabulous skirts! This is my 3rd skirt in this style, and I always receive so many comments, questions, and compliments when I wear them out. I love that the look and quality of this skirt looks like it would be pricey, but it’s only $45!
I couldn’t resist pairing it with my ivory scalloped cami for the perfect kick off to spring look. This outfit combo would be perfect for a shower or luncheon. You could also make this work for Easter Sunday, add a pink cardigan or denim jacket if you don’t do strappy tops in church.
For the office, pair this skirt with a solid color tee or white button down top. If you have a fitted pink top, it would be perfect to play on the colors of the flowers in the skirt. I opted to wear my rose gold jewelry to work with the pink of the skirt.
I know some of you aren’t quite experiencing the sunny and warm spring weather yet, but I hope you still get out and enjoy the start of the season! Tell me in the comments what item you are most looking forward to wearing this spring!

Casual Floral Top for Spring

Happy Friday!!! Ahhh so ready for this weekend, even though large portions of it will be filled with working on taxes, boo! It’s still the weekend though, and I can work on it with a glass of wine in hand. Yesterday, we had the prettiest Spring weather ya’ll! We have a little cold front coming through this weekend, but that little taste yesterday means I am pulling out all my wedges this weekend when I need a break from taxes.
One print I’m seeing tons of this Spring season is florals. Always a popular print for Spring, and I love seeing the different color variations and designs of the prints. I feel like this season has a delicate, feminine feel to the prints. This casual floral top is a good example of this floral print style. It’s a print you can dress up or down depending on your mood and plans for the day.
With this floral top, I styled it with jeans and my go to peep toe booties for a casual weekend look. You can also pair this with slacks or a pencil skirt to make it work for the office. Speaking of these booties, they are currently marked down! In the product description, it doesn’t mention anything about being on sale. But I went and looked back and I definitely paid $40 more than the current price. These booties are so good for Spring, Summer, and Fall. I wear them with jeans, skirts, and dresses.
Alright ya’ll, I hope you fabulous weekend!
