Striped Pencil Skirt

I am so excited to share this look with ya’ll today, because I have been searching for a skirt like this one for years! I saw a pic awhile back on Pinterest of a light striped skirt and fell in love. The only problem was the only similar ones were all super expensive. This is a tweed like material, so I always look for one in the fall. This year my dreams came true when I spotted this gem at the store. The colors were perfect to easily work for all 4 seasons, and the stripe design was exactly what I wanted.

This skirt will pair perfectly with riding boots and sweaters in winter, sleeveless blouses in summer, and for spring 3/4 length blouses like this one. The light color pallete works well with black and white tops, but I also think it will be fun to pair some jewel tones with this skirt too. Up close the skirt has little bit of red in it, I hope to play off that color too with my top choices.

What do ya’ll think of my latest rental shades? These are a cat eye shape with a wood frame. The frame has a coating so it will not absorb water and sweat. I really like the look of these and that the frame is different. They are a little uncomfortable for me across my nose. That’s the only place they bother me, but for me it’s a deal breaker on these.
