I found it! The perfect statement necklace and it was under $30! I have been looking for just the right one since I received a similar one in my Rocksbox. I wanted one with a bit smaller stones than that one. I also wanted something affordable, because statement jewelry is just not going to get as much wear as my everyday pieces. During my search, I found Happiness Boutique. They have tons of fun statement jewelry at affordable prices including some really cute pendant and statement necklaces and statement earrings. I love jewelry with a vintage feel and have quite the wish list on their site! They also have fun vintage inspired clothes. Even better they offer FREE shipping with no minimum purchase price!! They also have a pretty cool Rewards Program. Most sites will offer you points per purchase, but Happiness Boutique goes one step further. They will offer you points for reviewing the jewelry you purchased on their site, sharing photos of your jewelry in action on social media with their hashtag, and sharing your purchase on social media right after you order. Once you have racked up some points, you can redeem for free jewelry and clothes, and some other fun goodies.
I love how this necklace has three different designs, but they all work beautifully together. I love wearing necklaces like this underneath button down shirts to let them shine through, but I also love to use a statement necklace to pump up a casual look. When I am going super laid back casual, I often opt for a vintage tee, distressed jeans, and sandals. I love this Britney tee I purchased at her Femme Fatale concert a few years back. I linked some other vintage style concert tees I found online. I’ve talked about my love for Lucky Brand jeans before, and this pair is one of my favorites. This is like the second or third pair I ever purchased from them. They are around 10 years old and are still in great condition!! Since they are so old, I linked some other pairs that are a similar distressed and flared look. I do not often wear a tee and jeans, so when I do I love being able to dress it up and put a little of glitz and glam into the look!

Travel: Charleston

As promised, I wanted to share a few of my tourist photos from Charleston. This city is absolutely gorgeous at every turn. I loved having the opportunity to visit and take in all the beauty!

As you may recall from my post last week, I was in town for the Southern Blog Society Conference which was held at the Belmond Charleston Place off of King Street. How cute is this trolley?

This photo is of King Street from just outside the hotel. Friday night, I ate at the Old Town Grill and it was so good. I had a gyro and potatoes. Good food and good prices is always a win.

While walking along King Street, I found this cute candy store. They carried all of my favorites – Fudge, Truffles, and Taffy. They also had chocolate covered everything, caramel apples, and pralines.

Every flavor of taffy you could want! HEAVEN!!

I love the architecture of the buildings and all the colors.

Even the window displays are beautiful. If you are in Charleston, you need to go inside this Moon and Lola. The store is fabulous inside!!

I eventually ventured off King Street to tour the cute streets and alleys. I even found this fun park with some cool sculptures.

I mean this city is a fashion blogger’s dream come true. Everything here is just picture perfect.

I also found this cute store/cafe. They sold these amazing red velvet cupcakes along with muffins, lunch foods, and gourmet grocery shopping.

Every where I turned was more charm and beauty. I can see why people love to travel here. It was so easy just to walk around and get lost. The town also has lots of history. Next time, I definitely want to take a tour and learn even more about this city and it’s rich history!

Summer Plaid
| DETAILS |
ARDEN B Flannel Top, Old [LOVE | ON SALE | ON MY NSALE WISH LIST] | LUCKY BRAND Sienna Cigarette Jeans [ALSO HERE] | SOLE SOCIETY Kimber Wedge Sandal | HENRI BENDEL c/o West 57th Satchel | BAUBLEBAR Gold Ladder Cuff | KENDRA SCOTT Grady Bracelet, Skylar Earrings | GORJANA Taner Pave Bar Necklace, Mika Necklace | RAY-BAN Original Aviator Sunglasses | MAC Lipstick in Faux | ESSIE Nail Polish in Fiji
Plaid, flannel, or buffalo check, I love it all! I love seeing the different colors mixed together in these shirts. I purchased this one years ago at Arden B because I loved this mix of the black, purple, red, and blue together. The material of this shirt is lightweight, so it works perfect in summer when paired with shorts or white denim. In the fall, I pair it with darker skinny jeans and boots. If you find a good material, plaid shirts can be worn year-round. I like to buy ones that are a little thinner because our warm weather last longer than others. I also try and make sure I can roll the sleeves to my elbow or a ¾ length comfortably. When the weather cools down, I love how these pair with leather or other fitted jackets and with long cardigans for a layered look. For summer, I sometimes will toss a plaid over a camisole or tube top and tie around my waist during the hotter parts of the day. This is also nice because while it is hot outside, everywhere is super cold inside. The one I’m wearing only buttons half way, but all the ones linked button all the way. I picked some with some really pretty color options! One is part of the Nordstrom Sale too! If you have been thinking about buying a pair of white denim, it might be just the right time! With the end of summer, I have been seeing them pop up on sale at many stores. These Lucky ones are on sale!!
After four fabulous days relaxing and eating our way through Austin, TX, this Monday is definitely going to be a hard one. But thanks to lots of coffee, I think I’ll make it. 🙂 Happy Monday!!

The Standout of the Stack

| DETAILS |
HALOGEN Tie Neck Blouse, Old [SIMILAR] | LUCKY BRAND Sienna Cigarette Jeans | SOLE SOCIETY Kimber Wedge Sandal | MARC BY MARC JACOBS Preppy Hobo, Old [SIMILAR IN NYLON] | JORD WATCH c/o Ely Series in Cherry | BAUBLEBAR Slim Bangle, Old [SIMILAR], Links Bracelet, Old [SIMILAR] | SWELL CAROLINE c/o Enamel Signature Bracelet | HOUSE OF HARLOW Meteora Stud Set | RAYBAN Original Aviator Sunglasses | MAC Lipstick in Faux | ESSIE Nail Polish in Fiji
I talked a bit earlier this week about updating my arm stack, and one big missing piece of the puzzle was a watch. I struggled with picking one out because I wear multiple jewelry metals and could not decide which metal to buy a watch in. I’m not quite to the mixing metals stage yet. I heard about Jord Wood Watches and was definitely intrigued. I mean for starters I had never heard of a wood watch before, and I love finding new things that are not everywhere yet. Also, no which metal to go with decisions!! They have various wood colors from a neutral beige maple to a more natural brown to this gorgeous cherry color. I opted for this color because I wanted a watch that would stand out against my bracelets, but would also compliment all metal colors. When I wear this with gold, the warm cherry tones really shine, but toss on some silver and the cooler side of this color comes out. I just picked up a rose gold bangle and it was like a match made in heaven. This color also mixes well with my wardrobe colors from brown or black shoes to bright or neutral colors. Another little thing about this watch is that it is so light! Some watches feel heavy to me, and when you are adding multiple bracelets as well, weight matters! I chose one of the skinnier band versions, because I tend to stack up my bracelets especially on weekends. I mainly style this watch in the middle of my arm stack. I like the symmetry, and I think it helps the watch steal a little of the spotlight. If you like thicker watches, they have some different styles with thicker bands and faces. You should definitely check out their site and all the cool watch options. Happy Friday!!!!
