Black Crochet Top to Wear Year Round

And my love affair with black tops continues. I have a feeling this top will be in constant rotation year round. The crochet detailing on the sleeves and neckline is gorgeous and good quality. I have already washed this top, and the detailing still looks good as new. One thing I was pleasantly surprised and pleased about with this blouse is that the elastic cuffs at the bottom of the sleeves are not too tight. I hate when they are just a hair too tight and leave light marks on your skin. These are not tight at all and really don’t even come in contact with my skin the way a normal elastic band would. Unfortunately, my order for this top was originally delayed and now it’s sold out. They do have tons more cute black tops though! I had to stop looking, because I found a few more to buy. 😉
I mentioned on Friday that my gal pals and I were heading up to my college town for our sorority reunion. We had so much fun on our trip. It rained most of the time, so we didn’t get to walk around campus to see all the new buildings. But we did get to head to our sorority house and check out the remodeling they did and meet current collegiate members. I only wish the weekend would have been longer because I saw a few faces that I didn’t have the chance to catch up with.
Oh and for anyone wondering, the first couple days of Whole30 have gone surprisingly well. I haven’t had any crazy headaches, so yay to that! But I am having to learn to eat a bigger lunch, so I don’t end up starving before dinner and needing a snack. Going from all day grazer to 3 meals is currently my main challenge. Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you back here Friday!

Happy Friday!! I am so excited for this weekend, because I am heading back to my college town with some of my gal pals. My college sorority ZTA is celebrating 40 years at Stephen F. Austin with a huge alum gathering. I am so excited to see old friends, reminisce about the good old days, and visit the sorority house I called home for half of my college years. I haven’t been back in forever, so I can’t wait to get there!
But before I start packing 2-3 bags for a weekend stay 😉 just kidding (maybe), let’s talk about the cutest tee ever. I have been looking to add a few casual tees to my wardrobe. Something for those days when I just want to be super comfy, still super cute, and not in a dress. I love pretty much everything with a cold shoulder, but the bows on this one sold it for me. Okay and the $25 price tag. I love that the bows make it fun and different and amp up this outfit a little bit. I had to pair this ensemble with some gray heels, but I think this outfit would be cute with black sandals too.
Okay ya’ll have a great weekend. I am going to start packing, and we will meet back here Monday where I am sharing a different kind of post, but one I am really excited to write! Thanks for stopping by today!!

Happy Friday friends!! It never comes soon enough. 🙂 I am quite excited for this weekend because my family and I are celebrating my grandmother’s birthday! Plus, the weather is expected to be absolutely gorgeous, so it should be a great celebration.
I wore this look to a little Galentine’s Happy Hour with my girlfriends a couple weeks back. I am quite obsessed with this top. I was so nervous when I ordered it about how it would look in person, but ya’ll it totally lives up to the picture. It combines to hot trends this season- sheer material and embroidery. I love that it is a little bit flowy on the bottom while being fitted in the sleeves and shoulder. I did choose to size up, and I am happy I did. I am wearing a medium, and it fits perfectly.
This top has a bit more of a pretty feminine feel, so I paired it with my distressed jeans to add a little edge. I kept my jewelry minimal to not distract from the floral design. My pink clutch was the perfect pop of color addition to compliment instead of compete with the embroidery.
Ya’ll have a great weekend! I plan to eat lots of cake and maybe sip a little champagne. 🙂 I’ll see you back here on Monday!

Embroidered Rose Blouse

| OUTFIT DETAILS |
Striped Embroidered Blouse | Similar Gray Jeans | Gray Suede Mules | Short Druzy Necklace | Silver Bangle | Pave Bangle | White Earrings | Pink Clutch | Mirrored Aviators | Nails: Essie Blanc | Lips: MAC Faux
I have always been a lover of gorgeous floral embroidery. Every year, I buy a top or a dress with some embroidery on it. I started noticing it becoming more popular, but it wasn’t until I received a few different orders on the same day that I realized I was a little obsessed. I can’t help myself, it’s just so pretty.
This embroidered rose blouse had a few different things I like about it. One obviously the gorgeous embroidered flower that sits on your shoulder both front and back. This flower totally reminds me of the rose from Beauty and the Beast! I think about it every time I look at it. (Totally off topic, but really excited for the movie!) I also loved the gray stripes. It made this blouse feel a little different than your average button down, and I felt it could easily work in both an office and date night setting. This blouse has a slightly higher side slit than a normal blouse. I kind of liked this because it made it easier to do the cool girl partial tuck in. I have never liked it with a normal blouse, but the higher slit made it work better with this blouse.
This top pairs perfectly with a black pencil skirt for work. For a cute weekend look, I stuck to the gray theme and paired it with my gray skinny jeans and suede mules. To make the rose color stand out, I added a pink clutch to help pull the rose out from all the gray. You could do a double movie date night to see 50 Shades Darker and Beauty and the Beast and be theme dressed for both. 🙂 Hope ya’ll are having a good week so far, thanks for swinging by!
