White Cuffed Shorts
Happy Friday! Any fun plans this weekend? After a pretty busy last weekend, I am excited to have not too much on the schedule this weekend. A chance to play catch up and relax a little. We are hitting those 100 degree days in Houston right now, so my shorts and sundresses will be coming out to play for sure.
Denim and cotton shorts are a great way to beat the heat. I love wearing cotton shorts when I want a dressier look. These white cuffed shorts are a perfect replacement in many of the outfits I would normally wear white skinny jeans. They give a dressed up look, and I stay cool. They even made my basic gray striped tank look a little fancier. These are pretty comfy shorts too. A good thick material with a slight stretch for comfort. The fit on them is TTS, and I think the length is good on my 5’3 height. Also, ya’ll I have to mention that I found my floral strappy sandals for under $100!! Pretty good considering the retail price is double that!
I hope ya’ll have a fabulous weekend! Thanks for taking some time to stop by this week!

July Reader Favorites
Hello Hello! It’s that time of the month again to look back on your favorite fashion items from last month. The Nordstrom Sale items came in strong taking 2 of the top 5 spots for July. My on trend straw bag was once again a top 5 favorite for the 2nd month in a row. August outfits will be split between fall and summer, so I can’t wait to see what will make next month’s top 5!
Keep scrolling to see if your favorite made the list this month!
A reminder on how I figure out which items ya’ll loved –
I use an affiliate program called Rewardstyle. If you click on a link from my blog or social media that takes you to a product page on a retailer’s site, Rewardstyle is able to track that your visit to that site originated from me. The Rewardstyle affiliate program pays me a commission per purchase made. Basically, if you click on one of my links and end up making a purchase, I earn a small commission.
Because I use this service I also have access to certain data analytics. This means I can see and keep track of which items are clicked on and which lead to a purchase. I do not see who clicked on the link or what items might have been purchased. For example, if you click on my latest pair of heels and then purchase a new red lipstick too, I will only be able to see that a purchase was made and that the heels link is how you arrived to the retailer’s site. It’s kind of similar to how a salesperson may earn commission in the store.
I’m a numbers gal, so I love diving into all the data every month. These analytics allow me to keep track of what ya’ll loved and didn’t so much love. If I see one item is clicked on and/or purchased more, I might consider sharing a restyle over on Instagram. These commissions are an easy way for you to support my blog without having to do anything extra and a way for me to cover the variety of expenses that come with running a blog. So if you have ever made a purchase through one of my links know that I am so grateful for you and your support of my blog.
Now on to your July favorites!

Blue V-Neck Tank Top
Hello friends! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty fun celebrating all the things with friends. Our Sunday brunch was a pretty cool experience. We dined in the backyard of a pretty well known Houston chef enjoying her farm to table creations in community style setting. One of my couple friends joined us, and it was fun catching up with them. The day was overcast which made it a little cooler than a normal Sunday afternoon in August which was really nice.
I opted for shorts and a cute top since it was outside. This blue v-neck tank top and white jeans combo would be perfect for an indoor brunch! The bright blue of this top originally attracted me to it. The double bar stripe design on the v-neck sealed the deal on this one for me. It’s such a fun and different detail. The material is jersey knit type making this top soft, comfy, and wrinkle free. I love the slightly loose and flowy fit to work on a hot summer day. You can also pair this top with shorts for an outdoor event.
I have a few more weeks of summer outfit ideas for you before we switch gears and start heading into fall outfits. Drop me a comment below if you have any particular items you plan to add to your closet this fall or would like help styling! I hope you have a fabulous first full week of August!

Yellow Cami Top + Pink Statement Earrings
Hello friends and Happy Friday!! I am so ready for this weekend because I have lots of fun activities planned. Saturday is filled with parties with friends. On Sunday, we are headed to this really cool brunch with friends at the home of a pretty big Houston Chef, Monica Pope. It’s going to be so much fun going on this weekend. I might need an extra day to recover, lol.
I think this bright and colorful outfit will be perfect for all of my events going on this weekend. It hits on the casual, the colors of summer, and good for the heat. Yellow is one of my favorite colors this summer. I cannot stop adding to cart all of the yellow things!! I think the color is also going to work in the fall to pair with jewel tones like burgundy and green cardigans. For summer though, I paired this yellow cami top with my bold pink statement earrings. It’s such a fun color mix for summer!
For an extra hot day, you could swap out your white jeans for a pair of white or navy cotton shorts. You could also add wedges or block heels sandals for a shoe with height.
Alright ya’ll, I hope you have a fabulous weekend. Don’t forget it’s the last weekend to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Prices go back on Monday.
