An Easy Outfit Formula for Summer
One thing I am a true believer of is that a closet of the right basics can give you a full and complete wardrobe. From a few good pairs of jeans, solid colored tees and tanks, and great jacket or cardigan, you can mix and match to create so many different outfits. If you find a few trendier pieces to mix in, even better.
For the spring and summer months, my white jeans and denim jacket are staples for me. I wear them so much paired with different tops from prints to solids to stripes. It’s such an easy outfit formula for summer that will look put together and chic. If you want to add something a little trendy to your look this season, a leopard print shoe could be just what you need. I purchased these flats last year, and they always add that perfect finishing touch to a look filled with solid colors, basics, or both.
A few other trendy favorites to incorporate, statement earrings and a cute straw bag. Both of mine are affordable options which is great if the trendiness doesn’t last long. While not a hard rule I always stick to, when buying trendy items, I lean more to the affordable options from places like Target and Amazon. For my basics that will get plenty of wear in multiple seasons, I will spend a little more. Like I said it doesn’t always work out that way, but I try to stick to it.
Every now and again, I find a good quality basic at a great price. Ya’ll these Amazon tank tops are so good! I wear tank tops SO MUCH! In addition to wearing them in layered looks in spring and fall and stand alone with shorts or jeans for summer, I also wear them non-stop around my house as loungewear. I have had these tank tops a few months, and so far so good. I like the wider strap and that they are not too low cut. They come in 2packs, so I went with black and a stripe.
Fingers crossed, I will be spending sometime at the pool this weekend! A good book, maybe some wine, and a little sunshine is calling my name! Wherever your weekend takes you, I hope you have a fabulous time! See you next week!

May Reader Favorites
Hello Hello!! Ya’ll the May Reader Favorites are so good!! These pieces were definitely some of my favorites from this month too! We also have an item making it’s THIRD appearance on the favorites list! It’s been going in and out of stock all week, so hopefully you will find it in stock if you have been eyeing it. The pink maxi dress was one of my personal favorites of the month. Partly because I just love the movement my photographer was able to capture of the dress. It really helped show off how beautiful this dress is in person.
Keep scrolling to see if your favorite made the list this month!
A reminder on how I figure out which items ya’ll loved –
I use an affiliate program called Rewardstyle. If you click on a link from my blog or social media that takes you to a product page on a retailer’s site, Rewardstyle is able to track that your visit to that site originated from me. The Rewardstyle affiliate program pays me a commission per purchase made. Basically, if you click on one of my links and end up making a purchase, I earn a small commission.
Because I use this service I also have access to certain data analytics. This means I can see and keep track of which items are clicked on and which lead to a purchase. I do not see who clicked on the link or what items might have been purchased. For example, if you click on my latest pair of heels and then purchase a new red lipstick too, I will only be able to see that a purchase was made and that the heels link is how you arrived to the retailer’s site. It’s kind of similar to how a salesperson may earn commission in the store.
I’m a numbers gal, so I love diving into all the data every month. These analytics allow me to keep track of what ya’ll loved and didn’t so much love. If I see one item is clicked on and/or purchased more, I might consider sharing a restyle over on Instagram. These commissions are an easy way for you to support my blog without having to do anything extra and a way for me to cover the variety of expenses that come with running a blog. So if you have ever made a purchase through one of my links know that I am so grateful for you and your support of my blog.
Now on to your May favorites!

Pink Floral Dress
Hello Ladies! How was your weekend? Mine was both fun and productive! I love a weekend that hits a good mix of both. After a few busy weekends in May, it was really nice to play catch up on my to do list a little bit this weekend. Especially since I have a busy couple of work weeks coming up, it’s nice to feel a little ahead.
In previous posts, I have talked about my love of the color pink and my current obsession with floral prints, so it was only a matter of time before I found a piece that incorporated both. This pink floral dress has all the feminine appeal from the ruffles to the flowy chiffon fabric to the pink floral print. I love the contrast between the light pink and maroon of the print. Oh and there is also a very subtle stripe in the print too. I mean, how could I pass up on this dress?!?!
This dress would be perfect for work or for a baby or bridal shower. It would also work for church or a luncheon type event. To keep with the pretty in pink theme, I added in a few of my favorite rose gold jewelry pieces. I went with a nude colored purse, but I think a white one would also work with this outfit. For shoes, block heel sandals would be another good option.
Alright ya’ll, I have lots of fashion for you this week with the May Favorites on Wednesday and a casual outfit featuring a few wardrobe staples on Friday. So be sure to come back and check those out, and I hope you have a great first week of June!

Best of the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale
Happy Friday!! I’m keeping with the sale theme from Monday and sharing some of my top Nordstrom Sale picks. While the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale gets most of the big hype, I think the Half Yearly Sales are just as good a Nordstrom Sale. The main difference between the two sales – The Anniversary Sale features some new items for fall and winter marked down and the Half Yearly Sales are all items that have already been on the site. Both sales have great deals and cover all seasons.
The sale is pretty big, so I checked it out for you and found some of my top picks from the sale in a few categories. I’m also including a few items previously featured on the blog too. This sale is a great time to go back and look at items you were considering throughout the past year and see if they are now marked down. The sale does end officially Sunday June 2nd, but some items will stay on markdown after that date.
A few noteworthy items – The Patagonia fleece that everyone raves about, my favorite I own 2 pairs leggings, my favorite pair of jeans coming in under $100, and one of the comfiest dresses I own (seen styled here 3 ways). Enjoy the post, enjoy your weekend, and thanks for stopping by!
