July Reader Favorites
Hello Hello! It’s that time of the month again to look back on your favorite fashion items from last month. The Nordstrom Sale items came in strong taking 2 of the top 5 spots for July. My on trend straw bag was once again a top 5 favorite for the 2nd month in a row. August outfits will be split between fall and summer, so I can’t wait to see what will make next month’s top 5!
Keep scrolling to see if your favorite made the list this month!
A reminder on how I figure out which items ya’ll loved –
I use an affiliate program called Rewardstyle. If you click on a link from my blog or social media that takes you to a product page on a retailer’s site, Rewardstyle is able to track that your visit to that site originated from me. The Rewardstyle affiliate program pays me a commission per purchase made. Basically, if you click on one of my links and end up making a purchase, I earn a small commission.
Because I use this service I also have access to certain data analytics. This means I can see and keep track of which items are clicked on and which lead to a purchase. I do not see who clicked on the link or what items might have been purchased. For example, if you click on my latest pair of heels and then purchase a new red lipstick too, I will only be able to see that a purchase was made and that the heels link is how you arrived to the retailer’s site. It’s kind of similar to how a salesperson may earn commission in the store.
I’m a numbers gal, so I love diving into all the data every month. These analytics allow me to keep track of what ya’ll loved and didn’t so much love. If I see one item is clicked on and/or purchased more, I might consider sharing a restyle over on Instagram. These commissions are an easy way for you to support my blog without having to do anything extra and a way for me to cover the variety of expenses that come with running a blog. So if you have ever made a purchase through one of my links know that I am so grateful for you and your support of my blog.
Now on to your July favorites!

Blue V-Neck Tank Top
Hello friends! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty fun celebrating all the things with friends. Our Sunday brunch was a pretty cool experience. We dined in the backyard of a pretty well known Houston chef enjoying her farm to table creations in community style setting. One of my couple friends joined us, and it was fun catching up with them. The day was overcast which made it a little cooler than a normal Sunday afternoon in August which was really nice.
I opted for shorts and a cute top since it was outside. This blue v-neck tank top and white jeans combo would be perfect for an indoor brunch! The bright blue of this top originally attracted me to it. The double bar stripe design on the v-neck sealed the deal on this one for me. It’s such a fun and different detail. The material is jersey knit type making this top soft, comfy, and wrinkle free. I love the slightly loose and flowy fit to work on a hot summer day. You can also pair this top with shorts for an outdoor event.
I have a few more weeks of summer outfit ideas for you before we switch gears and start heading into fall outfits. Drop me a comment below if you have any particular items you plan to add to your closet this fall or would like help styling! I hope you have a fabulous first full week of August!

Yellow Cami Top + Pink Statement Earrings
Hello friends and Happy Friday!! I am so ready for this weekend because I have lots of fun activities planned. Saturday is filled with parties with friends. On Sunday, we are headed to this really cool brunch with friends at the home of a pretty big Houston Chef, Monica Pope. It’s going to be so much fun going on this weekend. I might need an extra day to recover, lol.
I think this bright and colorful outfit will be perfect for all of my events going on this weekend. It hits on the casual, the colors of summer, and good for the heat. Yellow is one of my favorite colors this summer. I cannot stop adding to cart all of the yellow things!! I think the color is also going to work in the fall to pair with jewel tones like burgundy and green cardigans. For summer though, I paired this yellow cami top with my bold pink statement earrings. It’s such a fun color mix for summer!
For an extra hot day, you could swap out your white jeans for a pair of white or navy cotton shorts. You could also add wedges or block heels sandals for a shoe with height.
Alright ya’ll, I hope you have a fabulous weekend. Don’t forget it’s the last weekend to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Prices go back on Monday.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially in it’s final week with the sale ending on Sunday. It’s your last chance to pick up any of those items you have wishlisted or to check back on any items previously out of stock. One area of the sale I did want to share with ya’ll this year is the Beauty section. I found many of my favorite brands and products, and most of them are still available!
A few of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Beauty Favorites:
Skincare
Kiehl’s and Estee Lauder are two brands that I love and keep in regular rotation. The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum is amazing. From Kiehl’s, I love the face cleanser and Midnight Recovery Concentrate. All of these are included in sets with a few more goodies for you to try out. You can read more about my experience with the serum and concentrate HERE.
I’m excited to see a few Beauty Bio products in the sale this year. I purchased both the Glo Pro System and Reversal Retinol 3 step program last winter. I highly recommend both for some great anti-aging. You can read more about my experience with these products HERE.
Haircare
I’m such a fan of both Living Proof and Drybar. Both feature some of my top dry shampoos. You can read more about them HERE. The sets in the sale all look like great introductions to the brands and what they offer. I also included the T3 Curling Wand. I’ve heard so many rave reviews over this wand. I’m hoping to try out a friends soon and see if it lives up to the hype!
Fab Finds
I found a good starter eye brush set in the sale. I wanted to point it out because the brushes are pretty similar shape and style to the brushes I used in my eye makeup tutorial from a few months ago. I picked up the St. Tropez express self tanner during last year’s sale. I really liked my results, so I purchased the classic 8 hour version to give it a try. I really like the color and overall experience with the express one. I’ll let you all know how the classic goes. If you need any self-tanning tips, you can find them HERE.
A few other items I always have in my makeup drawer, beauty sponges and sugar lip therapy. I use the beauty blender sponges for applying concealer and occasionally for foundation touchups. The Fresh Sugar Lip Therapy is a must have for me. I ran out of my old one like 2 weeks before the sale and was hoping to find it. I already tried out the exfoliating scrub that came with the set. My lips were a little dry and chapped, and it fixed that problem right up!
If you still plan to shop the sale, I hope what you are looking for is in stock!! Remember prices go back up Monday, so make any remaining purchases by Sunday night!
