Five Ways to Wear an Orange Top for Different Seasons
Sometimes I go on a little bit of a color crush binge, and I don’t realize it until I see the new items hanging together in my closet. Lately it’s been the color orange. From the burnt orange dress shared a week ago to this floral print top from summer to today’s short sleeve top, and one more orange item coming next week!
For today’s post, I wanted to share how to wear the color orange year round by showcasing it with a few different jean colors that will work in all the different seasons.
Five Ways to Wear an Orange Top for Different Seasons
FOR SPRING, SUMMER, AND FALL
This first outfit will work well for spring, summer and fall. A classic faded blue color works well with the earthtone orange. To keep the look casual, I paired it with a nude colored loafer flat. This light tan color also works well with the orange shade since they both have a hint of warmth to them.

FOR SPRING AND SUMMER
For spring and summer, a light wash blue jean or white jean will work well to help make the orange really pop. With the lighter blue jean, I paired this outfit with my white slides which provides just the right amount of contrast to the light blue. For a white jean, I would opt for a light brown sandal.

FOR SUMMER
Orange is such a fun color to wear in the summer months! A faded black bottom really plays up the earthtone orange color of this top. To add a little bit of a boho vibe to this outfit, I paired it with my light tan booties. The light color also helps to add the illusion of a longer leg which I love as a petite styling tip. You could also go with flat sandals or a fun wedge to change up the look a little.

FOR EARLY FALL
In Texas, I feel like we have two falls – the early warm one and the late one with cooler jacket required temps. For the warmer early fall time of year, dark wash jean is a great option to bring orange into the fall season. To play on the warmth in the top, I paired my darker congac brown mules with this outfit. I cuffed my jeans a little higher than normal to make them just slightly above the ankle which can help make me look a little taller.

FOR LATE FALL
When the cooler temps take over, a pair of black skinny jeans and dark brown over the knee boots will make this top perfect for late fall. I opted for brown over a black boot to keep the look from having too much of a Halloween feel. I chose a black denim, so I could easily toss on a blue denim jacket for a colder day and have a good contrast in my denim colors.

What I Wore This Month
Well hasn’t this been a whirlwind of a month! I started the month finally able to start wearing all the cute and pretty spring things and ended it wearing all the casual comfies. I’m thinking it might be time to start putting on normal clothes again this week. We will see how everything goes.
For this month’s outfit recap, I included a few shots from a try on session I did over on Instagram Stories (@karenkocich). Occasionally, I share new pieces when I receive them in the mail. Since I didn’t have a chance to wear all my new spring items this month, I wanted to include them before they sell out!
Hope you enjoy this month’s outfit recap! Fingers crossed next month will be filled with more fabulous spring outfit ideas!

Well here we are, closing out another year here on the blog. I cannot believe I have been writing this blog for 5 years now! I celebrated my blogiversary back in October. It’s crazy to think of how far this little blog of mine has come since those early days 5 years ago. I still love every minute of putting content together too. From creating outfits, sharing style tips, offering beauty advice, and other little life peeks, it’s been a fun 5 years.
This yearly recap is always one of my favorites to put together. I love looking back through all my posts from the year and seeing which ones you all loved the most. My overall thoughts, we all love cardigans all year round! This maxi dress was one of my favorite posts and this springtime color combo ranked high on my list too.

I have to give a few huge thank yous to the people who help me keep this blog running and make my life a little easier. First off, a MAJOR Thank You to my two photographers, Yash of Banavenue and Lauren of LA Photography. They are both amazing people who make the photo taking process so easy. I show up, walk and twirl, and they turn out the fabulous outfit photos you see here on the blog. These two have huge parts in helping me keep turning out fashion content every week.
To my family, friends, and InstagramBoyfriend 😉 , thank you for always taking time to stop and take my outfit photo for the ‘gram, telling everyone you know about my blog, sharing my posts, and cheering me on in all of my blog endeavors. I’ve had an amazing support system from the day I mentioned to a few friends over a glass of wine about this crazy idea I had to start a blog. How to Style a Denim Skirt
Denim skirts are back ya’ll and back with a vengeance! The last time I owned a denim skirt was about 10 years ago. I found denim skirts had faded in popularity and trendiness, so I donated mine. Fast forward and denim skirts are cool again. Personally, I could not be more excited about it. I love wearing skirts! I wear a skirt to work 2-3 times a week. On weekends, casual skirts are a great alternative to shorts! I find my denim skirt to be so much more comfortable than shorts some days too.
I wanted to share my main tip on how to style a denim skirt this summer, so you can pull off this trendy item. My main tip is actually pretty simple and easy – wear it with the same tops you would pair with jean shorts. Yep, I treat my denim skirt the exact same way I do my shorts from my tops to my shoes. Fitted tank tops are my top pairing of choice. You can tuck it in and and on a wedge sandal or flat for a casual day look. You can also add on a white denim jacket for a more polished look or a flowy kimono for a boho look. Your top doesn’t have to be fitted. A few months ago, I paired this skirt with a flowy crop top for a rodeo look.
I purchased this skirt earlier this year, so I linked one that is the same style and brand just a slightly different color. So, how do you plan to wear your denim skirts this summer?
